The Power to Measure
Understanding UV Rays
Ultraviolet (UV) light is electromagnetic radiation present in sunlight and other sources. Different skin types react differently to UV light. The first step to protection is understanding what you’re up against.
The UV Index
The ultraviolet index or UV Index is an international standard measurement of the strength of ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun at a particular place and time.
There are 5 types of skin tone that reach differently to certain levels of UV exposure. Lighter skin types have a much lower threshold of tolerance for exposure, while darker skin types can tolerate more.
The use of sunscreen will increase skin tolerance and exposure time before sunburns occur. Sunsense helps regulate extra exposure time to help you get the most out of your sunscreen!
Accessories and wearing your SunSense
As important as a high-quality sensor itself is how you wear it on your body when exposed to the sun. The sensor shall see the sun the same way as your skin and it shall be as comfortable to wear as your skin as well. That's why we have developed a unique click-fit system and a range of accessories to suit your needs and activities.
